LegalReps was born out of a conversation most attorneys have had but few talk about openly. After two years practicing personal injury law in New York, I found myself where many associates find themselves — competent in one area, curious about others, and quietly aware that the window to make a change was closing.
Legal recruiters will tell you plainly: around the three-year mark, your practice area starts to define you. Firms stop seeing a talented attorney and start seeing a personal injury attorney, or a real estate attorney, or a contracts attorney. Making a lateral move becomes exponentially harder with every year that passes. I knew personal injury wasn't where I wanted to spend my career — but I had no structured way to demonstrate competency in another area, no resource to help me prepare, and no clear path forward.
LegalReps exists to change that. Whether you're preparing to transition into a new practice area, getting up to speed on an area where you lack confidence, or a newer attorney trying to bridge the gap that law school never closed — this is built for you.
This is just the beginning. Here's what we're building — and why.

LegalReps is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over your data. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
LegalReps ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website legalreps.net, an educational attorney interview preparation platform. For questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@legalreps.net.
We collect information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the platform:
Email address — when you join the waitlist or create an account. Name — when you create an account. Password — stored in encrypted form; we never have access to your plaintext password. Date of birth — collected at signup solely to verify you are 18 years of age or older. Quiz scores and performance data — when you take quizzes as a registered user. Referral codes — if you share or use a referral link. Usage data — which practice areas and subtopics you access, and when. Device, browser, and IP address information — collected automatically when you visit the site.
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the LegalReps platform; verify that users meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years; save your quiz scores and track your progress over time; send you waitlist updates, product announcements, and newsletters you have opted into; send transactional emails such as waitlist confirmations; manage referral tracking and waitlist position; respond to your questions or support requests; analyze how the platform is used so we can improve it; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
We use the following third-party service providers to operate LegalReps. Each processes your data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
Supabase — database and user authentication. Processes: email, name, encrypted password, quiz scores, and waitlist data.
Netlify — website hosting and content delivery. Processes: IP address, browser information, and site traffic data.
Beehiiv — newsletter and waitlist email communications. Processes: email address, name, and newsletter engagement data.
Resend — transactional email delivery. Processes: email address, waitlist position, and referral code.
We do not authorize any of these providers to use your data for their own marketing purposes.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider with servers located in the United States. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data. Your data is served to you via Netlify's global content delivery network.
If you join our waitlist or subscribe to our newsletter, we will send you updates about LegalReps using Beehiiv. Transactional emails — such as waitlist confirmations — are delivered via Resend. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Transactional emails related to your account cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only with our service providers as listed above, when required by law or court order, or in the event of a business transfer such as an acquisition or merger, in which case the new owner will be bound by this policy.
LegalReps uses browser local storage — a technology similar to cookies — to remember your disclaimer acceptance and timer preferences. We do not currently use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. If we introduce advertising in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be notified.
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of marketing communications at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@legalreps.net. We will respond within 30 days.
